"Im going out drinking." Your father said as he shut the front door quickly.

"Wait! How long are you gonna be gone?!" You screamed running down the stairs behind him. When you got outside he was starting the car.

"How ever long I feel like." He said pulling out of the driveway."But you cant just leave me here!" You screamed walking quickly down the drive way.

"Actually, your wrong Jazmine. I can." He said speeding off down the road.
"Phuck!" You screamed kicking the gravel road.This was the third time this month that he had done this, and it was just happening more and more often now.

He would say he was going out for a drink and not come back for weeks. Leaving you home all alone, and you were only 14.

"Sugar?" You heard from beside you. You turned to see your neighbor, Mrs. Elena standing in her drive way staring at you."Did he leave again?" She asked.

"Yeah. Again." You said walking twords her."Come on inside Jazmine im sure your hungry.

" She said leading you inside her warm, candle scented house. Mrs. Elena was like your mother in a way. You never really had a mother, because yours died giving birth to you. Mrs. Elena was old, but not that old. She still liked to do things and have fun. As she pulled some leftovers out of the fridge you twirled your earings and remembered the day she took you to get your ears peirced.

*Flashback To The Day Mrs. Elena Took You To Get Your Ears Peirced*
"And stay the hell out Jazmine! I dont want to see you around here for the next few days!" Your father yelled as she chased you out the door.
"Fine!" You screamed running to Mrs. Elena's house."Mrs. Elena!" You cried running into her house."Jazmine? Im in the kitchen!" She yelled back."Mrs. Elena, m-mmy father kicked me out of the house....d-do you think I could stay here for awhile?" You asked sobbing.
"Of course Jazmine, I dont mind. But-I mean,if you dont mind telling me, why did he kick you out?"

"Because I asked him if I could get my ears peirced. And he said no,I asked why and he kicked me out."You said sitting ona stool."Well, I could take you to get your ears peirced. I mean, if you really want them peirced." She smiled."Really!?!" You asked exitedly."Really."
"Thank you!!!"

*End Of Flashback*
Mrs. Elena heated up some macaroni and cheese and set it infront of you."What happened this time Jazzy?" She asked using your nickname, Jazzy."He went out drinking again. He wont come back for weeks. I know it." You said as you shoveled macaroni into your mouth."Do you wanna stay here?" She asked. You felt like that was all she ever said when you saw her."If you dont mind." You said looking up from your plate."Of course I dont mind Jazzy." She smiled.
